Portfolios

I've recently moved my portfolios to a Flash site independent of www.idrawbooks.com. Click the "Illustration and Design Portfolio" link above to go to that site.

Why the move? I was getting pirated left and right, people right clicking to copy an image, and then the image goes who-knows-where. I know that nothing is completely secure on the internet, but at least a Flash file may keep the honest guys honest.

My work is not not the MonaLisa, but should I be that worried about it being stolen? Well yes and no. In itself it is an infringement, but more importantly, it's an infringement on my clients properties more than on me. 95% of all work I do is for a client. They bought and paid for the art. I have the right to display the art for self promotion but my clients own it. I don't have the right to give it to anyone else, and if THEY paid for it, why should anyone else be able to use it for free.

The tradeoff is that image quality sometimes suffers in Flash. If you've been to that site, and want to see the images a little clearer, email me and I'll send you a link and a password.
