NEXT STEP

If your art is destined for the Internet only, disregard the following info.

If you're going to be handing the art off to a commercial printer, your next stop is going to need to be with a print representative at the printing company. Your print rep will become your new best friend and he or she can tell you what it's going to cost to print your item, which will in turn determine if size, or color mode will impact what you need from me. If you feel like a fish out of water while talking to a printer, I can even help you there.

If you're using one of the online publishing methods, such as Lulu.com you'll need to get that account setup and plug in the info (page count, size, bindery method, etc.)

If you haven't chosen a printer yet, I can point you to some very good ones.

At the end of that process, either with a human or virtual print rep, you should have a very firm idea of your production cost, which in turn will tell you how much room your budget has for illustration. You should then get a revised price depending on the results of your meetings with the print rep.
