Most small associations don't have a designer or a production artist on staff. They eitherdon't have the funding, or enough design work, to justify the equipment and employees. There are always the newletters and other projects which usually fall in the lap of someone who is not prepared or equipped to do them. Without the resources, equipment, or training to complete these tasks, the results are often unimpressive or at best, ineffective. In some cases, they never get done.

Most directors and managers realize the need for publication design which delivers results, but they don't know how to achieve the desired results with the resources they have. If you're the director of a small group or a small business owner, I'd like to say that you CAN have what you need, and what you want. Best of all, you'll be able to affford it. It will not be cost free, but it will be cost affective.
